Zon-O-Phone Grand Opera Disc Phonograph - The Zon-O-Phone Grand Opera is widely celebrated as one of the most luxurious outside-horn disc phonographs of the early acoustic era. Introduced by the Universal Talking Machine Company, it represented the premium, top-of-the-line model for the brand before and during its transition under the Victor Talking Machine Company. This machine is an early model with the beveled glass back and front mount horn. The oak cabinet has been professionally refinished with new decals and presents very well. The plating on the parts is in VG condition. Original V Concert reproducer in VG condition. 9” turntable has original felt and the spring loaded record pin. Machine winds and runs. The all brass horn measures 30” long with a 14” diameter bell in VG+ condition. The original horn to reproducer connection thumb screw is present. Overall a very nice machine. Case measures 15.5” wide, 12.5” deep, 9.5” tall. From the William Kocher collection.
