Zon-O-Phone Concert Grand Disc Phonograph - The Zon-O-Phone Concert Grand was produced primarily between 1901 and 1905 by the Universal Talking Machine Company (founded by Frank Seaman), it represents the peak of independent Zon-O-Phone design before the company was absorbed by Victor Talking Machine Co. This early version Concert Grand has beveled glass sides in an oak cabinet that has been refinished and highly polished to a beautiful luster. It has an original V. Concert reproducer, travel arm, horn support, and crank in good condition with plating loss and dullness. The adjustable horn support foot rod is a well done reproduction. The felt on the turntable seems to be original. All brass 30” hors with 13.5” diameter bell in VG condition with only a couple of very light wrinkles in the bell. Machine winds and runs, the stop needs a new piece of leather. Cabinet measures 10” wide, 11.5” deep, 8” tall without the horn or support arm. From the William Kocher collection.
