Zon-O-Phone 2nd Model Concert Disc Phonograph - The Zon-O-Phone Concert 2nd Model disc phonograph was introduced in 1903. This updated side wind version served as a transition from the earlier front-mount and glass-sided designs toward the simplified, standard horn setups that followed the company's acquisition by Eldridge Johnson’s Victor Talking Machine Co. later that year. The original finish oak cabinet on this machine has been overcoated and sanded smooth preserving the original decal and presents very well. The plating on the parts for the most part is VG. Original V Concert reproducer. 9” turntable with replacement felt. The horn cradle wire is a replacement. The machine winds and runs. The all brass horn is 24” long with an 11” diameter bell in VG condition. It is missing the thumbscrew on the horn to reproducer connection elbow. Overall a very nice machine. Case measures 12.25” wide, 10.5” deep, 7” tall. From the William Kocher collection.
