Phonograph Crane Floor Stand - This classic antique floor-standing phonograph horn crane crane stand features a nickel-plated or steel metal construction with an adjustable height central pole, a tripod folding base, and a swiveling extension arm designed to support a horn over a cylinder or disc phonograph. Exemplifying turn-of-the-century mechanical craftsmanship, floor cranes like this were popular accessories for early Edison, Victor, and Columbia phonographs to relieve weight from the tonearm or reproducer. The stand shows overall surface oxidation, patina, minor scuffing, and light surface rust consistent with age and storage, but remains complete with its tightening screws and functional extension arms.
