Bidspirit auction | Ten Panel Floral Hand-Painted Morning

Ten Panel Floral Hand-Painted Morning Glory Horn - A beautifully decorated turn-of-the-century sheet metal panel horn for an antique cylinder phonograph, featuring ten multi-paneled facets with vibrant, hand-painted chrysanthemums in yellow and white along the interior bell surface. Crafted from painted sheet iron, this style of floral horn was a popular decorative aftermarket upgrade in the early 1900s, offering enhanced sound projection alongside a striking artistic aesthetic. While the original hanging ring is absent, the soldered mounting bracket remains attached to the exterior cone section. The piece displays an even patina and light surface wear consistent with age, with minor paint flaking and fading to the inner floral artwork. The narrow connection end shows heavy rust, jagged metal loss, and damage where it previously connected to a back-mount elbow or crane setup. H 32”, W 19”, D 19”. Please see photos for condition.
