Bidspirit auction | Antique Dental Cabinet with Vitrolite
Antique Dental Cabinet with Vitrolite Top - This magnificent turn-of-the-century dental cabinet is a spectacular example of early 20th-century professional trade furniture, crafted from rich, dark-stained hardwood—likely mahogany or walnut—and boasting its period-correct white vitrolite stone operating top. When fully assembled using the included set of 10 wood screws, the complete unit features an upper portion with an elegant oval mirror crest, a functional roll-top tambour door concealing instrument storage, side display shelves, and a tiered array of small component drawers. These specialized upper drawers reveal intricate internal configurations, including a perforated pin-holder block and organized instrument trays. The lower base unit includes deep drawers and a dropdown compartment with a specialized divided tray insert, all supported by elegant cabriole legs. Objectively, the piece is in overall good condition, showing light surface scuffs, expected minor wear to the finish from historical use, and 1 key opens bottom locks only. H 84”, W 34.5”, D 17.5”. Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction. From the Dale Beeks collection.
