Bidspirit auction | Victor Electric Co. Electrotherapy Cabinet

Victor Electric Co. Electrotherapy Cabinet - This impressive early 20th-century electrotherapeutic quack medical device cabinet was manufactured by the Victor Electric Co. of Chicago, Illinois. Housed in a quartersawn oak floor-standing pedestal cabinet, the apparatus features a top-mounted spark coil with a brass finial, side-mounted motor and control panel, and a recessed side compartment holding an assortment of brass electrodes, handles, and tethered attachments. The original brass serial plate (No. 2887) is intact. Visually, the piece is in good antique condition, showing expected surface wear, light scuffing, and finish crazing consistent with age; the mechanical motor, switches, and tethered apparatuses remain complete, though the pulley system requires service prior to operation.
