Victorian Graphoscope Stereoviewer Box W/Card - This Victorian era tabletop graphic scope stereo viewer box features a brass plate marked “Graphoscope Patented July 6th 1875”. Crafted from burl walnut and mahogany with ebonized accents and ornate pierced fretwork, the folding viewer features a large magnifying glass alongside a drop down dual stereoscopic lens assembly. Included with the viewer is a 19th century stereo view card depicting the side wheel Steamboat “Champlain” published by L. H. Fillmore, landscape photographer of Whitehall, NY. The piece shows light surface wear scuffs minor aging to metal elements, and includes a fragment of the closure clip, maintaining strong overall condition and display appeal. Stereocard holder does not slide as easily as one would like. No key for lock mechanism. H 6.5”, 14.25”, D 12.5”. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
