Victorian Folding Table Stereoscope & Card - This Victorian-era folding table stereoscope features a rich wood cabinet construction accented with decorative nickel-finish metal corner brackets, ornate escutcheons, and matching side adjustment knobs. Designed to display stereoview cards with depth, it incorporates a large upper magnifying lens, dual wooden eye-pieces, a fold-out interior mirror reflecting light onto the viewing platform, and an integrated lower locking storage drawer with its original key. Included in this lot is a vintage portrait photograph of a boy and his dog, and the cabinet mechanism operates correctly and compresses properly for storage. Condition report: There is breakage on the wooden trim ring around the large glass magnifier lens, with two separated fragments found inside the drawer that allow approximately 80% of the decorative ring to be re-glued; the glass itself is in good condition with no detrimental damage, while the wooden eye-pieces have minor cracks and separation, and the exterior shows standard light wear consistent with age. H 6.5”, W 14.5”, D 11”. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
