Bausch & Lomb Binocular Microscope & Case - This professional-grade Bausch & Lomb binocular microscope (serial number 243882) dates to 1935, representing a prime example of pre-WWII optical engineering from Rochester, New York. Finished in a classic black enamel with chrome accents, it features a heavy horseshoe base and is housed in its original black pebble-grain leatherette carrying case with a fitted green interior. The set is remarkably complete, featuring two sets of matched eyepieces (marked 5 and 10), three objective lenses, a blue glass filter, and original stage clips. The microscope is in excellent vintage condition with smooth mechanical movements and minor enamel wear consistent with careful laboratory use; the leatherette case is in excellent condition with only minor age-related wear to the internal supports.
