Warren Knight Station Pointer 1940 WWII Navy - WWII US Navy 3-Arm Metal Protractor This is an exceptional World War II-era U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships 3-arm metal protractor, also known as a station pointer, precision-engineered by the Warren-Knight Co. of Philadelphia, U.S.A. Dated 1940, this vital maritime navigation and triangulation instrument features heavy brass and satin-finished metal construction with crisp, finely engraved degree markings, complete with its technical accessories and detachable extension arms. The instrument is beautifully preserved within its original fitted, velvet-lined hardwood transit case, which proudly displays its interior factory paper label matching serial number 6289, alongside its exterior brass military nomenclature plates. Objectively, the brass and metal components show minor age-appropriate tarnish and light patina but remain structurally sound and functional, while the exterior protective wooden case exhibits character-rich field wear including scattered scratches, scuffs, and minor finish loss consistent with naval service.
