Universal Therapeutic Floor Lamp - Step back into early 20th-century medical history with this vintage ”Universal Therapeutic Lamp” Model A (No. 9903), manufactured by Paul E. Johnson in Chicago, Illinois. Featuring a large white-enameled dome shade mounted on an adjustable scissor-arm extension assembly with a counterweight pulley system, this industrial medical fixture rests upon an adjustable floor-standing pole and heavy three-legged cast-iron base. The unit includes an integrated oval control housing with a period timer dial and switch. Physical condition exhibits authentic age patina throughout, including enamel loss and chipping around the shade rim, paint flaking and craquelure on the black crinkle-finish housing, surface scuffs, and minor oxidation on the iron components. The original woven cloth-wrapped electrical cord and plug remain attached, though operation is untested. H 75”, W 24”, D 24”. Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required.
