Vintage J. Sklar Medical Suction Cart - An evocative piece of early-to-mid 20th-century medical history, this rolling surgical suction and ether anesthesia cabinet was manufactured by the J. Sklar Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York. Constructed with a cream-painted steel frame set on swivel casters, the unit features a black glass work surface, top chrome gallery rack, two upper drawers, a center drawer, and a lower storage compartment housing the original internal electric motor and pump assembly. Mounted to the side is a dual-jar glass vacuum/ether apparatus complete with an intact J. Sklar pressure gauge. Included with the unit are two glass bottles labeled ”ETHER” and ”VACUUM”, a Cameron Vitrohm Potential Adjuster transilluminator handpiece with its original instruction hangtag, and a vinyl HOMA accessory case with specialized attachments. Condition is vintage original with scattered paint chipping, surface oxidation, scuffs, and discoloration to the enameled metal finish consistent with age and clinical use; rubber hosing exhibits expected stiffness, glass elements remain free of major chips or cracks, and electrical components/motor are untested.
