Keuffel & Esser Surveying Aneroid W/Case - This sophisticated ”Improved Surveying Aneroid” barometer was manufactured in England for the renowned American firm Keuffel & Esser Co. A vital tool for early 20th-century geologists and engineers, it features a compensated movement for temperature variations and a manual magnifying glass for precise readings of the silvered dial. The instrument is housed in its original, heavy-duty ”Made in England” stitched leather case with a secure buckle strap, reflecting the high-quality craftsmanship of professional field equipment from the circa 1910-1930 era. The instrument displays a handsome aged patina on the brass and black-finished casing, with some minor paint loss on the edges and light scuffs to the leather; the dial remains exceptionally clean and legible.
