Warren-Knight Wooden Surveyor Tripod - This professional-grade surveyor’s tripod was manufactured by the Warren-Knight Co. of Philadelphia, PA, a firm renowned since the early 20th century for precision engineering. Constructed from durable, honey-toned hardwood with robust cast-iron and brass fittings, it features the classic ”split-leg” design for superior stability in the field. The head features a standard threaded mounting stud and circular leveling plate, while the feet are tipped with heavy-duty steel spikes and integrated stirrups for secure ground anchoring. The piece retains its original olive-drab canvas carrying strap and displays the authentic maker's mark and serial number 19 2300 stamped into the wood. Condition is very good for its age, showing typical field wear including minor scuffs, scratches, and light oxidation on the metal components, but remains structurally sound with all hardware present.
