Early Antique Light Bulbs Thomson-Houston - A rare pair of early antique incandescent light bulbs reflecting late 19th- to early 20th-century electrical development. One bulb features a Thomson-Houston base measuring approximately 5” in length with a 1 1/8” base diameter, while the second example features a double-lug bayonet-style base with wooden insulation measuring approximately 5.25” long with a 1” base diameter. Both are constructed with hand-blown glass envelopes retaining their characteristic top-drawn exhaust tips. The double-lug bulb retains two circular paper labels inside the glass: one bearing a stylized monogram logo reading ”The N.M. Co.” and a second voltage label marked ”16 / 110”. Condition shows age-appropriate tarnish and light oxidation to the brass bases, minor surface soil to the glass, and a detached filament lead at the base of one bulb, though the internal filament loop remains completely intact.
