Vintage French Brass Surveyor Compass Set - An impressive vintage French brass surveyor's compass set, housing a finely detailed brass compass dial marked ”FRANCE” alongside black folding sighting vanes and a removable brass mounting spindle, all neatly fitted within its original green felt-lined wooden box. This precision surveying instrument showcases a classic 360-degree outer bezel and detailed cardinal point directional markings. The brass components show mild age-appropriate patina and light surface wear consistent with historical field use, while the glass remains clear and intact, and the wooden fitted case, has a crack on its base, and exhibits minor exterior scuffing and gentle wear to the felt lining; overall, the set remains in very well-preserved vintage condition.
