Geneva Lens Measure Optical Gauge - This late 19th-century scientific gauge is a classic Geneva Lens Measure (spherometer), designed to determine the dioptric curvature of optical lenses. Housed in a brass casing with a silvered dial face, the instrument displays multi-country patent dates ranging from 1891 through 1895, with serial number 8767 stamped on the reverse upper housing. The three contact pins and blue steel indicator needle remain fully present. Physical condition shows light surface tarnish to the brass, mild age patina on the dial, and gentle surface wear consistent with bench use. H 2.5”, W 1.75”, D 0.5”.
