Wooden Surveyors Tripod - Crafted in the early 20th century, this classic hardwood surveyor's tripod features robust brass hardware fittings, heavy-duty metal ground spikes, and a circular wooden top mounting plate. Bearing an inventory stencil mark reading ”10” along one upper leg section, this tripod reflects the durable construction typical of turn-of-the-century field equipment used for civil engineering or large-format view cameras. The piece displays authentic field use and age-appropriate wear throughout, including finish loss, scuffs, surface scratches, and a rich dark patina to the brass wing nuts and hardware, while remaining structurally solid.
