Wooden Surveyors Tripod - An excellent piece of industrial maritime and field engineering, this early 20th-century surveyor's transit tripod features heavy-duty split hardwood legs, original metal shoe tips, and a robust brass mounting collar with a 3-inch threaded ring designed for mounting precision surveying transits or theodolites. The unit is in good original condition, exhibiting light finish wear, minor surface scuffs, and a rich aged patina with light verdigris on the heavy brass hardware. H 57.5”, W 6”, D 6”.
