Featuring a classic double-spring design with a flat pan and a sturdy cross-frame, it exemplifies the rugged hardware used by North American trappers. The metal shows a deep, natural oxidized patina and surface pitting consistent with age and outdoor use, though the springs and mechanical components appear structurally sound and intact.
