The bugle, though an authentic military-issue piece from the Philadelphia Depot, is a compact ”trench” style that fits perfectly alongside the Western-themed toys, suggesting a cherished ”army-navy” play set from a bygone era. The brass bugle retains a heavy, untouched patina with minor surface oxidation; the Cody Colt toy shows significant play wear and oxidation to the metal components; the leather items—both the holster and the saddlebags—show heavy age-related cracking, stiffening, and some stitch loss at the saddlebag hinge.
