INERT WWI French F1 Hand Grenade W/Perc. Fuze - A very nice looking French F1 Hand Grenade w/percussion cap fuze. Put into mass production in 1915 by the French. This design led to the later creation of the US MKI grenades and many similar variants over the last century. This particular example has the percussion cap fuze. The French Poilu soldier would strike it on a hard surface or heel and toss. This example retains a lot of the original cornflower blue French paint in the crevices and on some of the flat outer surfaces. Dimensions: 5” tall w/fuze x 2.25” wide. See photos, si vous plait.
