Collins Curved Blade Saber Point Machete& Sheath - Vintage Legitimus Collins & Co. WWII curved blade saber point style machete With original Sheath. Marked on Ricasso: “LEGITIMUS/COLLINS & CO/MADE IN USA/No 808” Paper label affixed to other side. Nearly complete. Carbon steel flexible blade has a tapered spine with a full cutting edge along one side and a partial cutting edge on the back at the tip. Machete blade 27.5” long with a 18”long fuller on either side. Overall length 33.5”. Handles are Bakelite affixed to a full tang with steel rivets, both handles are complete. Original leather sheath in complete condition, with scuffs abrasion from age. Sheath 28.5”x2.5”. Beautiful condition. The perfect tool for clearing the jungles of the Pacific. See photos.
