WWII German Panzer Jagr Splinter Pattern Ensemble - WWII German Panzer Jagr Splinter Pattern Ensemble w/ badges, Cap, patch, attache case. Coat was made in Italy. It is long-waisted and tapered in the back [uncommon]. Lining is wool on front part of each side. More vertical closure than earlier slant. EK II ribbon in buttonhole. Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss sleeve patch, right side. Two sets of medal loops on chest hold the silver Wound Badge and a Army/Waffen SS Tank Battle badge. Neither badges have markings. Shoulder boards feature orange/red Waffenfarbe piping. Metal “P” and single rank pip below. Loose military police patch, green background with orange embroidered eagle insignia in center. Dimensions 3.5” x4”. Accompanying attache case made from splinter pattern material, utilizing US duffel bag handle [Germans often reused American equipment, this being an example of that]. Leather reinforced, two buttons on either end with three snaps in between. Case measures 12” x 19”. Field cap, standard issue. Splinter pattern camo, white lining. Marked on interior: “58 / R. Bir.-Nr 0/0265/5___/ 1943” Dimensions approximately 7”x10”x4”. Very nice, clean. According to the consigner, the collection came from the family of US GI PFC Wayne Bailey, of the 7th Armored Division. Photocopies of documents included with grouping.
