Civil War CDV Union General Winfield Scott Hancock - Original CDV of Union General Winfield Scott Hancock. “Winfield Scott Hancock” written in pencil on back. Overall a nice image in near fine condition. Measures: 2-1/2” x 4”. Known to his men as ”Hancock the Superb,” his personal leadership at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 was recognized by many. At the end of the Civil War, Hancock supervised the execution of the treasonous conspirators in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. This CDV was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
