WWI M1917 and WWII M1 Helmets - WWI M1917 and WWII M1 Helmets: 1) M1917 US Helmet with complete liner and paper tag on crown. Missing chinstrap. 2) M1917 US Helmet w/complete liner [loose] and paper tag on crown. Chin strap present and in good condition. 3) M1 Helmet. Some cork texture still present around base. Swivel bales. Painted lighter green[1950's] over earlier paint. Noticeable denting on crown and paint loss on interior. 4) M1 Helmet. Cork texture surface present, with nice even overall surface tone. Swivel bales, wit a quick release chin clasp. Liner stamped ”M 24” on crown. Y-straps have corrosion on one copper buckle.
