Post WWII , 4th Ranger BN, 1st Allied ABN Army - Post WWII Uniform lot. Includes: 4th Ranger BN (left shoulder sleeve) four pocket officer's winter wool coat [dated 3/12/43). Captains bars (sterling), Jump Wings (Silver filled), 3rd Award CIB (silver filled). Ribbon bars include: SSM, GCM, EAME, Army of Occupation, Asiatic Pacific Campaign w/ 2 stars and bronze arrowhead, WW2 Victory, Philippine Liberation w/1 star. Expert Marksmanship Badge (sterling) w/rifle/pistol/ tank weapon tabs. Blue Infantry shoulder cord, US and crossed rifle collar & lapel insignia. Meritorious Service pin (sterling) pinback. Ike jacket (size 34R, dated Feb 1949), 1st Allied Airborne [left shoulder sleeve) for a SSGT. Ribbon bar with Bronze Star Medal, Purple Hearty medal with 2/OLC (larger design), EAME with 5 campaign stars. Pair of trousers (34 waist, 36 inseam). Owners markings present on inside of trousers. Small professional repair on left pant leg. The 4th Ranger BN fought in four European campaigns including Sicily, Anzio, Salerno & San Pietro Valley. The 1st Allied Airborne Army The First Allied Airborne Army was an Allied formation formed on 2 August 1944 by the order of Gen Eisenhower, The formation was part of the Allied Expeditionary Force and controlled all Allied airborne forces in Western Europe from August 1944 to May 1945.
