Rare Lithophane Glass German Art - early 19th century German. Lettering along bottom of the porcelain reads, ”Frhbindir stimme des rufenden in der wuste, ” which translates to, ”Early voice of the one calling in the desert.” The figure looks like a Christ child. The porcelain has a200 unique style so when light is placed behind it shows a special type of glow and 3D effect to the artwork. Glass is very good condition. The wood frame has its stand broken off, see photos. Overall good condition. 10 1/2” high x 8 1/2” wide x 1/2” deep
