Hicks Style Mechanical Dulcimer - This barrel operated mechanical dulcimer in its walnut cabinet featuring highly figured matched veneers has its original finish with gold painted highlights in overall good condition with some peeling paint on the gold highlighted pilasters. Might date from 1850's or 1860”s. There is evidence of an older restoration with evidence of alterations made to the back of the cabinet, such as plywood back, etc The mechanism is in tact and plays and is in need of some tuning and repairs.
