Edison 4 Latch Square Top Cyl Phonograph - This machine in its early 4 latch style oak cabinet has its original finish which appears to have been varnished over some time ago but is in otherwise good condition. The 4 latches are all present and all in good working order. Has an early original Model C reproducer with a good stylus. The carriage is fitted with a shaving attachment and the carriage and mandrill move freely. The upper mech has its original black paint and pinstripes in good condition with the usual wear. Has its original slotted cast iron winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Also included is an after market adjustable horn support which is complete in fair condition with some rust and pitting in the plating. Also included is an original 24” L all brass horn with a 11-1/2” D bell. The diamond shaped hanging bale reinforcement on the horn is marked ”Standard Metal MFG CO., Newark, NJ” is lightly tarnished with a few minor dings and in otherwise good condition. Cabinet measures 12-1/2” W X 9” D X 9-1/2” T. A good honest machine.
