Columbia Type N Bijou Cylinder Phonograph - This machine in its oak cabinet with its original finish and large banner decal all of which are in as found original condition. In the tail of the banner decal it states American Graphophone Company, Washington, D.C., however there is evidence that a dealer tag had been placed over the area and then later removed leaving 4 small nail holes in this area. The bottom board is slightly moisture affected with some veneer peeling on the underside and is not visible. This machine has an original aluminum #2 Eagle reproducer with a good stylus. The carriage and bullet shaped mandrill move freely. The upper mech has its original nickel plating in average condition. The nickel plated bedplate has rust and pitting around the perimeter See photos. Has its original slotted winding crank and the motor winds and runs but is a bit sluggish and needs some lubrication. Also included is an original 14” L black and brass horn with a 7” D bell. The brass bell and horn body have several dents and wrinkles and some rust and the body appears to have been repainted. Also included is a listening tube attachment with original ear pieces and brass connector. The rubber tubing is still soft and pliable but a bit dirty. Cabinet measures 11-1/2” W X 7-1/2” D X 10” T. A good honest machine.
