Styx - French/Swiss? Cylinder Phonograph - This machine in its nicely figured walnut cabinet has its original finish in overall good condition. Has numerous holes which is evidence of wood worms mainly on the bottom board and to a lesser degree on the sides of the cabinet. See photos. This is a reverse style cabinet that has the motor board and mechanism that is intended to be turned over for carrying and transport eliminating the need for a cover. Has an original floating style reproducer with a good stylus. The upper mechanism and bed plate have their original nickel plating which is in good condition. Has its original winding key and the motor winds and runs, The horn is an older high quality reproduction aluminum 13” horn with a 10-1/4” D bell in good condition with a brass ferrel at the small end of the horn for reinforcement. Cabinet measures 13-1/2” W X 10-1/2” D X 8” T.
