Edison Spring Motor Cylinder Phonograph w/Horn - This machine in its oak cabinet and large top cover has its original finish on the cabinet however the top cover has been varnished over darker some time ago in addition the top cover has several veneer chips, rippling veneer, and several nicks and abrasions. The top cover has all its original hardware. The oak cabinet which houses the machine is in much better condition than the cover previously described. Has its clean original finish and is in good condition. Has its original accessory drawer which contains some parts. Has an early Edison automatic reproducer with a glass diaphragm and a good stylus. Has older replacement reproducer hold down clips with the ends having been clipped off. The carriage is fitted with a shaving attachment. The carriage and mandrill move freely. The upper mech and bed plate have their original black paint and pinstripes in fair condition with the usual wear. Attached to the front of the bed plate is a nickel plated metal tag with some rather unusual wording. See photos. Has its original slotted winding crank and the motor winds and runs. Also included is an original 14” L black and brass horn with a 7” D brass bell. The horn and body have some minor dings and wrinkles as well as a tiny hole soldered shut on the edge of the bell. The horn body has its original black paint however it has some light surface rust. See photos. Cabinet measures 16-1/2” W X 10-1/2” D X 13-1/2” T.
