Civil War Union Sargent Major Uniform-Reenacting - Very complete re-enactor's Union Army Sargent Major uniform group. It is mostly brand new and never worn and almost everything is in excellent to new condition. Includes 1) Coon River shell jacket. 24” sleeve, 23” bust, 20.75” waist and 24” length. Marked with J.D. Durbin Des Moines IA ink stamp. 2) Blue trousers and suspenders with original Coon River sales tag marked size 36 and has measured 34” length 3) Muslin under shirt (sized fro the shell jacket). 4) Felt NCO Slouch hat. Appears to be a size 7.5 but is marked with wax pencil ”8”. 5) Green wool kepi. It appears to be a size 7 7/8” to 8 size. Has ”The Depot” ink stamp inside. Back seam is open and not sewn. 6) Size medium cream colored leather gauntlet gloves 7) Blue kepi marked with size ”L” tag. Appears to be a size 7.5 to 7.0 size at the most. 8) Muslin Havelock 9) Blue wool cover bulls eye canteen. 9) Size 33-36 leather belt and US buckle with cap pouch, cavalry carbine cartridge box and revolver holster. 10) white muslin scarf 11) Unopened Yellow sash with tassels. 12) Two rolls of unused belt leather One is 66” long and other is 81”. 13) Pair of boot spurs with eagle feather pattern in drawstring canvas bag. 14) Handcrafted Maple Fife new in box 15) Brass cavalry bugle 16) Bag with set of Sargent stripes, two chin cords and yellow roll of pant stripes and 17) Minnie Ball in bag and two loose Minnie balls that appear to be from the period. This is a very complete set except for the boots and the retail value nowadays would easily be in the $500 to $600 plus range. Look for our other lot with re-enactor's Union A-Frame tent and blanket.
