Springfield 1884 .45-70 Rifle (C) 428942 - Springfield 1884 .45-70 Rifle in very good condition with wear and remnants of oxidation. Trapdoor is very tight and the bore is bright. The gun was cut down to a carbine and a new front side was tacked on to the front. Hammer was bobbed. There are 7 notches carved in to the wrist and ”NB+” into the stock. Nice cartouches and proofs.
