Edison Standard Model A Language Machine w/Horn
Oak cabinet has its original finish and decal which appear to have been varnished over some time ago. Has a few nicks and scrapes - otherwise in average condition. This machine was made for the International Textbook company and sold as a language machine. Equipped with a special queuing attachment unique to Language machines which sets the carriage back a bit for the repeating of words and phrases. Has Model C reproducer with good stylus. Upper mechanism and bed plate are in good condition and have original upper pinstripes. Carriage and mandrel move freely. Original slotted cast iron winding crank. Motor winds and runs. Also included is a nickel plated brass 11"L horn with a 5 1/4" diameter bell which is in good condition.
