Antique Yoruba Strip Cloth Indigo Wrapper - Antique Yoruba Strip Cloth Indigo Wrapper. Antique 19th century Yoruba indigo aso-oke wrapper from southwestern Nigeria, circa 1880-1900, 55” x 67”. Hand-spun, handwoven indigo-dyed cotton with magenta silk alaari weft-float motifs, including Koranic board shapes. Some pink spots from dye bleeding, brown water staining, and one small hole in one of the etu strips.
