Carrying Cloth and Belt - Peru - Carrying Cloth and Belt - Peru. Two Peruvian textiles. Handwoven belt by Quechua weavers, 5” x 40”, with 5” fringe at one end and a 23” cord at the other. Repeating figural design of a person with two animals; some panels also show a bird and another human figure. Some spots and toning; good condition. Carrying cloth, 33” x 35”, mainly red with two black bands and several bands of orange and gray. Panels depict a person above an animal, plants, birds, and what appears to be a vase. Good condition.
