Antique c1840 Mostly 4 Patch Quilt - Antique c1840 Mostly 4 Patch Quilt measuring 88 by 99 inches. It is comprised of 132 blocks, 6 by 6 inches, set on point, 11 by 12, with blue print setting squares and triangles. Blocks are mostly 4 patch blocks with some 9 patch and other pieced designs. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. This method is often seen in English quilts.
