2 Vintage Redwork Child Quilts - 2 Vintage Redwork Child Quilts: includes one of the most interesting redwork quilts I have seen. It measures 47 by 73 inches. It appears to have been worked in red silk thread. Motifs include everyday household items like knives, forks, vases, pitchers, brooms and brushes, salt shakers, mixers, baskets, barrels, buckets and much more. It appears the designs are inked. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Along with a 1940s red work tied quilt with solid red sashing, 50 by 61 inches. Machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand tied in red embroidery floss at the corner of each block. Motifs include birds, animals, figures, flowers and more.
