Antique c1880 Blazing Stars Quilt - Antique c1880 Blazing Star Quilt worked in red, blue, and madder browns. It measures 80x65 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, about 18 by 18 inches, set straight, 4 across by 3 down, with approximately 2 inch blue print sashing and a matching blue print border on all four sides. It is hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted, with concentric echo rings around each circle, straight lines down the sashing, and arcs worked in the border. There is thin cotton batting and a solid tan cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the reverse brought to the front and applied by hand.
