Antique c1860 Pineapple Quilt - Antique c1860 Pineapple Quilt measuring 78x96 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 13.5 by 13.5 inches, set straight, 6 by 7. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green print binding. One corner are hand inked Hannah Northand Young 1864, with other names and years depicting possible owners over the quilt's lifetime including Bertha Young Davis 1926, Percha L Davis 1931, and Ethel Demerjian (sp?) 1968. Blue dye is peeking out and a couple of areas in the green print, and the binding is turning yellow, evidence of a double process green, earlier than 1870.
