Vintage c1950 Dresden Plate Quilt - Vintage c1950 Dresden Plate Quilt measuring 53 by 67 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 13 by 13 inches, set straight, 4 by 5. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Medium loft cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white binding, machine to front, and hand to back. This is one of the prettiest Dresden plate quilts I have seen. The 5.5 inch diameter center Dresden plate flower with a yellow center is surrounded by 2 yellow appliquéd bias tape concentric circles with another round of scrappy print plate petals around the last circle. Great small scale petals! Lots of great prints from the 1920s to 1950s including novelty prints in this quilt.
