Sample Quilt from c1990, most likely by Bobbie Aug, measuring 69 x 71 inches. There are 9 different pattern blocks, 12 x 12 inches, set straight, 3 by 3. The pieced sashing is about 6 inches wide, and fabric placement and shape give each of the 9 blocks either a square in the square, or a star secondary design. There are appliquéd flowers along the border, and in the center. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and machine quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a green print reverse. The edge is finished with an applied binding of a small check print. It is in good condition with no issues noted. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter's Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
