Antique c1920 Pink Trapunto Boudoir Quilt measuring 54x72". Made of pink acetate fabric, it is hand quilted with a vase of roses in the center, surrounded by a wreath of roses and leaves. There is a frame of cable quilting with trapunto roses at each corner. The field is hand quilted with diagonal lines. The edges are scalloped and the quilting at the border echo's the scallop edge. The reverse is a gray acetate. The edge is finished with an applied gray acetate binding. It is in very good condition. There is a sleeve for hanging attached to the back along the top of the quilt and signed by Bobbie Aug. This quilt can be seen on page 19 of "Antique Quilts & Textiles" co-authored by Bobby Aug. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter's Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
