2 Vintage 1930s Quilts - 9 Patch and more
Includes Vintage c1930s Posies Around the Square Kit Quilt by Needlecraft Company measuring 72 x 92 inches. It is comprised of 20 Posies Around the Square blocks, 12 x 12 inches, set on point, 4 by 5, with off white solid alternating squares and setting triangles. There is a 4 inch off white border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is a thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied off white cotton bias binding. It is in fair condition with overall toning, scattered spots, storage discoloration, and other small marks. Along with a c1930 On Point 9 Patch Quilt Measuring 55 x 82 inches. It is comprised of 112 On Point 9 Patch blocks, 4 x 4 inches, set on point, 8 by 14, with half blocks along the vertical edges, and off white solid alternating squares, and setting triangles along the horizontal edges. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a yellow solid cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied yellow fabric binding. It is in poor condition with overall toning, overall edge wear, and several small spots. From a Wisconsin Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
