Antique 19th century French needlepoint bench cover. Bright Jacobean and sunflowers on a yellow ground, very bright and graphic. Edges are finished, but very worn. Border is only on three sides, possibly half of a larger piece. Measures 74 x 14.5 inches. Textile is in good condition with edge wear and minor thread loss. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
