Join us for an amazing auction dedicated to vintage and antique quilts and related textiles. This will be the first of our auctions to include textiles from the Estate of Laura Fisher. New York based Laura Fisher, was a world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author. Her antique quilts were exhibited all over the globe, she made appearances with Martha Stewart, and was published in several magazines over the years. In offering these textiles for sale we hope to continue to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.

Vintage Maple Leaf Quilt - Feedsacks
Vintage Maple Leaf quilt c1940s measuring 69x81. Pieced maple leaf blocks alternate with a green print or home dyed green sugar sack fabric. It is hand pieced and hand quilted in a Baptist Fan or elbow quilting. Binding was applied by machine. The batting is quite thick, and cotton. This was collected in North Carolina. The backing is pieced with several feedsacks, one from Warrenton, NC. In fair condition, a small hole, lots of spots, fading to the home dyed fabrics, and the quilt could benefit from a good soaking to remove the dinginess. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Depending on how many lots we can pack, it may cost an additional $5. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
