Antique late 18th - early 19th century white cotton worked and trapunto quilt measuring 70 x 73 inches. Hand quilted and stuffed 15 feathered wreaths set 3 x 5 with serpentine vines between the wreaths and in the border, scattered eight-petal flowers throughout and pineapple motifs in each corner. Against an overall densely hand quilted ground. In very good condition with only minor discolorations. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship.
